Does anybody have defence citations according to IPC section 201,?
The Sections are not too bad. Bail should be possible especially regular bail. In fact there is a 85% chance of getting regular bail at Sessions court and 99% chance ofgetting bail at High Court level. Only grounds on which bail can be denied is if investigation is not yet complete and judge is convinced that accused may tamper with witnesses/evidence. Other grounds include accused not having roots in state (outsider/foreigner) but even these grounds cannot be used to deny bail after investigation [Jabbar vs State of Maharashtra, 2007, Maharashtra HC - which ruled that fear of absconding cannot be grounds to deny bail but instead the state must enforce rigid bail conditions like attendance at police station etc]
